The 2010 Barrie Dragon Boat Festival will take place in Heritage Park. This is located on the north shore of Kempenfelt Bay, by the Government Docks, and is accessible from Lakeshore Drive. Downtown parking is available in the adjacent municipal parking lots. Please note that the parking lot at Heritage Park is closed to the public all day Friday, all day Saturday, and Sunday morning.
The following main streets of Barrie lead towards Heritage Park and the Barrie Dragon Boat Festival:
- Essa Rd.(Exit 94 from Highway 400)
- Head east/toward Kempenfelt Bay
- Turn right onto Tiffin Street
- Turn left onto Lakeshore Drive and drive around the bay
- Turn right onto Simcoe Street. Heritage Park is on the right, past the Spirit Catcher monument
- Dunlop Street West (Exit 96 from Highway 400)
- Take the appropriate eastbound exit and drive toward Downtown Barrie
- Turn right onto Bayfield Street (at the Five Points intersection)
- At the end of the road, turn left onto Simcoe Street. Heritage Park is on the right
- Bayfield Street (Exit 98 from Highway 400, Highway 26 from the north)
- Head south down the hill/toward Kempenfelt Bay
- At the end of the road, turn left onto Simcoe Street. Heritage Park is on the right
- Blake Street (From the East End)
- Head south toward Downtown Barrie
- Blake Street becomes Dunlop Street East at the Bayclub Condominium. Stay left to continue onto Dunlop Street
- Turn left onto Mulcaster Street. Heritage Park is at the bottom of the hill
- Yonge Street (From the South End)
- Turn right onto Minet's Point Road
- Turn left onto Lakeshore Drive
- In Allandale, turn right to continue onto Lakeshore Drive (new road alignment Spring 2010)
- Turn right onto Simcoe Street. Heritage Park is on the right, past the Spirit Catcher monument
