Alexei holds his Dragon Boat Canada Level I Coaching Certificate. He has six years experience as a dragon boat paddler and steersperson starting with the inaugural Barrie Dragon Boat Festival, and has also steered with top competitive teams for Toronto practices. Alexei participated in the Great White North Dragon Boat Training Camp in Florida in both 2005 and 2006, and has also worked as a GWN Steersperson at the Great White North Dragon Boat Challenge in Toronto.

Alex has paddled competitively since our Festival started, and he traveled to Florida to participate in the GWN Training Camp in both 2006 and 2007. Alex has taken the Dragon Boat Canada Level I Coaching Course and looks forward to sharing his skills as a coach.

Jacquie has taken the Dragon Boat Level I Coaching Course. She has been paddling on and off since 1999. She began her paddling experience in the Great White North Dragon Boat Festival in Toronto moving to the Barrie Dragon Boat Festival in 2007.  She has participated in various regattas around Ontario over the years and has been captain of a dedicated team for 4 years now.

Mike has been involved in dragon boat since 2006. As a member of the Canadian National Dragon Boat Team he competed in Czech Republic, 2009 and won a total of 8 medals. Mike has also competed in 2 CCWC's in Toronto in 2006 and Macau in 2010 and has a total of 9 CCWC medals. Mike is a Level 2 Certified dragon boat coach and a Level 1 DBC and IDBF Official.

Amber began her dragon boat career nine years ago on Kempenfelt Bay and over the past three years she has paddled competitively in various regattas across Ontario . Amber participated in the Ohio Dragon Boat Training camp in 2009 and has completed the Dragon Boat Canada Level I Coaching Course.

Kenji has taken the Dragon Boat Level 1 Coaching Course. He’s been involved with the Barrie Dragon Boat Festival since the first festival. He’s been the Dock Marshall of the Barrie Dragon Boat Festival for the past 3 years. He’s paddled off and on for the past couple of years now with various teams with in Barrie and teams from Toronto.
