Barrie Public Library and the Barrie Dragon Boat Festival were lucky enough to receive the wonderful donation of our own dragon boat from Mr. Peter Moore of the Moore Packaging Corporation. “The Moore Dragonslayer” was christened and launched on the Barrie waterfront on June 1, 2004.

The team registration fee for the Barrie Dragon Boat Festival includes onwater practice time in "The Moore Dragonslayer", or in "The Ribbons of Hope".

“The Moore Dragonslayer” was a special project to mark the 25th Anniversary of Moore Packaging Corporation. Our thanks to Mr. Peter Moore for the foresight and generosity of this strategic and creative donation which contributes to the health of the entire community.
