Barrie Public Library is continuing a new tradition based on a centuries old one. The Dragon Boat Festival is a summer event that promotes community spirit, vitality and unity. Paddling together in harmony to enrich the quality of life for the citizens of Barrie.

Many other areas of Canada have felt the benefits of Dragon Boat festivals, and we are looking forward to bringing those benefits to the Barrie community. Benefits include fund-raising opportunities for local charitable and not-for-profit organisations, increased exposure for local businesses and a fun-filled event the whole family can enjoy.
